CAMophobia at Medscape

 Here’s the link to a brief review written by Dr. Jonathan Silver from New York University School of Medicine.

You need read no further than the first paragraph to see the bias.

“In a GEM of a study, another alternative treatment bites the dust.”

The acronym GEM stands for “Ginkgo Evaluation of Memory.” So the author (or Medscape) has made a cheap joke.

The bottom line?

CAM is not ducks in row waiting to be shot down. In fact, many have proven to be effective and been integrated into main stream medicine. Read this blog to relieve ourself of this bias.

We should expect more from Medscape. But maybe that’s asking too much.
